How to measure Jeep Gladiator bolt pattern?
Measuring wheel bolt patterns is quite simple and easy. For measurement, you just need a measuring tape.
Step#1: Count the number of lug holes on the wheel.
Step#2: If the number of lug holes is EVEN, then pick any lug hole on the wheel and start measuring from the center of that lug hole to the center of the opposite lug hole. This measurement gives you the diameter of the circle these lug nut holes form.
If the number of lug holes is ODD, choose any lug hole on the wheel and start measuring from the center of that lug hole to the outer edge of the opposite lug hole. This measurement and the number of lug holes give you the wheel bolt pattern.
How to torque Jeep Gladiator lug nuts
Always torque lug nuts in the STAR PATTERN. As we know, the Jeep Gladiator has 5-lug nuts on its wheels. Look at the 5-lug tightening pattern in the figure below.
Torque the first lug nut and skip the next lug nut. Again, torque the second lug nut and skip the next. Torque the third lug nut and skip the next. Again, torque the fourth lug nut and skip the next. Torque the 5th lug nut, skip the next and repeat this.
Torque the lug nut to the specified torque in the vehicle owner’s manual. In the Jeep Gladiator’s case, the tightening torque is 176 mm.
